Rather than telling him “No, you're wrong” or “That's not right”, lead him to the right answer by offering two options, with one obviously being the correct answer. So when your child answers “agua” instead of “pan” you can ask again “agua or pan?”, until your child chooses the correct answer. In this way, your child will not feel discouraged since he feels that he's doing a great job.
